The DMAT is responsible for the 1st Cycle in Mathematics and the 1st cycle in Applied Statistics and co-responsible, jointly with the Department of Informatics of the Engineering School, for the 1st Cycle in Computer Science. All these three BSc's have three years of duration and 180 ECTS.

The Computer Science graduates develop a firm understanding of theoretical foundations of computer science based on a solid mathematical background. This degree gives the student a broad-based scientific knowledge, providing the skills required for a high level professional career, and the ability to design, develop and adapt to rapidly changing technology.

The study plan of the Applied Statistics BSc is designed to prepare students for employment as professional statisticians or to pursue studies in a Master in Statistics. The skills you learn in this degree can be applied across the business, education, health, science, governmental, and technology fields.

The 1st cycle in Mathematics has a wide range programme, providing basic knowledge in the major areas of mathematics, from theory to applications. Strong emphasis will be put on the use of symbolic, numerical, graphical and statistical computational software, using the University’s extensive computing facilities.
