In collaboration with the Department of Mathematics and Applications, the Centre of Mathematics is involved in the organization of various outreach activities, whose main objective is to foster a closer relationship with the local population, particularly school teachers and young students. Most of the activities are intended to underline the relevance and impact of Mathematics in daily life.These activities are mainly concerned with an interactive exhibition on Recreation Mathematics, created and produced by a member of the Centre, and with the presentation of talks in secondary schools of the North of Portugal.
