I will introduce the tractor formalism, a covariant way to perform of calculus over a manifold. I will use this to derive the conformal Einstein field equations (CEFE) and show how this approach is related to Friedrich's equations. Moreover I will highlight how some of the properties of the CEFE arise naturally in the tractor formalism. |
