It will be presented in this talk the application of the MOOD (Multi-dimensional Optimal Order Detection) approach to the one-dimensional steady-state Burger and Euler equations in the context of very-high order finite volume schemes. The numerical tests consider regular and irregular solutions. In the latter situation, the numerical results confirm the ability of the developed methodology to detect the zone where it is necessary to reduce the degree of the polynomial reconstructions. For the former situation, the maximum order is kept in all the domain.
