In this talk we will describe some recent techniques to obtain
solutions to nonlinear evolution equations of dispersive type such as
the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) family
of equations. First we consider existence and uniqueness of solutions
to the associated Cauchy problem and then focus on the long time
behavior, specially for the low regularity data. |
