The focus will be on a mathematical presentation of
quantum computing. The level is fitting for senior students of mathematics,
physics or engineering degrees. In a first part the main notions will be
presented in a purely mathematical form (q-computations, q-measurements,
q-procedures, q-computers and q-algorithms). In a second part the possible
physical realizations of the model, and their potential power, will be analyzed
using an axiomatic version of quantum mechanics. Finally, a number of
outstanding q-algorithms will be described and a few of them, as time permits,
analyzed in detail. |
