Abstract: In this talk we consider two-dimensional (2D) finite-support convolutional codes. Using systems theoretical approach, we introduce input-state-output representations for such systems, considering the Fornasini-Marchesini state space model. Taking into account such input-state-output representations, we construct 2D finite-support convolutional codes with a fixed free distance.
