The focus will be on a mathematical presentation ofquantum computing. The level is fitting for senior students of mathematics,physics or engineering degrees. In a first part the main notions will bepresented in a purely mathematical form (q-computations, q-measurements,q-procedures, q-computers and q-algorithms). In a second part the possiblephysical realizations of the model, and their potential power, will be analyzedusing an axiomatic version of quantum mechanics. Finally, a number ofoutstanding q-algorithms will be described and a few of them, as time permits,analyzed in detail. |
